Our Giving Back Program
Nixtermite is committed to serving the needs of our communities through the investment of our resources and employee participation. We direct our giving to nonprofit organizations that address vital community needs and issues, focusing on community development, education, arts, environment, youth, seniors and human services. We currently support the following non profit organizations:
Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP)
For several years Nixtermite has supported the Wounded Warrior Project. We believe that our freedom is preserved by those that selflessly serve in our armed forces and these wounded heroes deserve our support. Wounded Warrior’ serves veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound, co-incident to their military service on or after September 11, 2001 and their families. On that date, America watched in horror as approximately 3,000 people died including hundreds of firefighters and rescue workers. Many warriors note a sense of duty to volunteer for the military following these tragic events.
Meals On Wheels
At Nixtermite we believe that it is important to support the independence and well-being of seniors. Meals-on-Wheels Greater San Diego, Inc. is committed to reducing the isolation experienced by so many elderly. Meals-on-Wheels volunteers provide two meals a day for seniors throughout San Diego County. Frequently these volunteers may be the only person the senior sees all day, providing human contact and a safety net, particularly for those seniors living alone.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Children are our future and we believe that by partnering with that St. Jude Children’s Hospital we can make this possible for more of our communities children to grow up, healthy, happy and productive. St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

We believe that San Dieguito’ River Valley Land Conservancy’s Mission meets these same goals and does a great job for a beautiful part of our San Diego county community. San Dieguito River Valley Land Conservancy’s Mission is as follows:
- Implement the San Dieguito River Park and its Coast-to-Crest Trail that stretches 55 miles from Volcan Mountain near Julian to the ocean between Del Mar and Solana Beach
- Protect and steward the natural, cultural and educational resources of the San Dieguito River Valley
- Educate and inspire the public and its members about the recreational, historical and cultural resources within the San Dieguito River Park
